- Please follow the WWII schedule. Do the readings, take the notes, etc...just like you have all year. Use the review book too!
- Complete the written assignments as assigned. For now, type the answers on word and save them. After I find out more info after out meetings, I'll let you know how to send the work.
- Stay positive and stay focused. This is unprecedented territory for all of us.
- If you have not, please go to previous post and join google classroom. My guess is this how we will be conducting the class moving forward.
I will miss seeing you all in class. Hopefully, we will be back in the classroom soon.

HW Assignment due tomorrow 2/28....
- "Coney Island was a kind of magazine of life, except instead of reading about it and seeing color pictures, you could experience it.”- historian Elliot Willensky
- Charles Denson, director of the Coney Island History Project spoke of the historic role that Coney Island has played in welcoming immigrants: “When immigrants sailed into New York Harbor at the turn of the last century, the first thing they saw wasn’t the Statue of Liberty; it was the towers and bright lights of Coney Island… Twenty million immigrants came through New York between 1880 and 1920. Immigrants fleeing persecution and seeking freedom didn’t find it right away. Instead they found life in stifling tenements, and backbreaking labor. Most worked long hours, six days a week. Coney Island became their escape. At Coney Island they found fresh air and affordable recreation. Coney Island became the pressure valve for New York City.”
•Using
evidence from the film, prove the validity of both statements. Answer must be presented in paragraph form.
