Notes:
- All
grades can be accessed through pupilpath.com.
- All
grades are cumulative. All grades
for all assignments will be averaged from January to June.
- Each student will receive a "Unit Packet" the day a new unit begins. These packets are both secondary and primary sources and will serve as the class content for classwork, class discussions, and homework assignments. There is no text book for this class.
- All students have a Review Book. Some assignments will come from the review book and as we get closer to the Regents Exam you will be required to bring it to class every day.
- The U.S. History Regents is Tuesday June 2.
Rules and Regulations for 2018-2019
School Year, Fall Term
- Please come prepared everyday with the following: pens, pencils, highlighters, and a 3 ring loose-leaf binder. Use the binder to keep all course materials. You must be wearing your lanyard every day!
- Cell phones cannot be used during class. They must be away and turned off. Enough said
- Homework must be done either on loose-leaf or typed. As long as you write the answers in complete sentences you do not have to write the questions. The following heading must be included: NAME DATE
HW # PERIOD
#
- Good
attendance is a necessity to pass this class. As per Chancellor’s regulations, 90%
attendance is expected to fulfill your high school requirements. Class work and homework are important
parts of the grading policy. If you
are not in class, you are not participating, handing in homework, taking
quizzes, etc. Coming in on time is
just as important! Lateness is
inexcusable. If you are absent for
a legitimate reason, bring in a valid note (parent, doctor,…) and you can
make up the work.
- The most
important word in this class is “EFFORT”.
If you put in the effort, you will get something out of this
class. Ask questions, answer
questions, complete assignments, and so on and you will succeed! If you do not understand something, ask
me immediately. Do not await the
“snowball effect”. You can find me during my free periods in room
400. Do not be afraid to approach
me.
- Respect your peers, respect your teachers, and you will be
respected! Raise your hands when
you have something to say, don’t interrupt others, and refrain from odd
noises, gestures, or anything else that is not suitable for inside the
classroom!
